About Dr. Gaskins

Dentist Karlie A Gaskins, DDS

Dr. Karlie A. Gaskins was born in Seattle and raised in Kirkland, Washington. She received her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Washington. She graduated from Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska with her DDS degree in 2002. After working in private practice for many years in Bend, Oregon, she decided to return to her Puget Sound roots.

Dr. Gaskins supports organized dentistry and the way organizations promote the health of our citizens. She is a member of the Kitsap Dental Society, Washington State Dental Association, American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. She is also a member of the American Society of Forensic Odontology simply because it is so interesting. She is committed to maintaining high standards in continuing education and modern dentistry.

Her practice philosophy is based on providing excellent dental care. Dr. Gaskins is gentle, caring and thorough in her work. Her focus is in practicing preventive and conservative dentistry. She works to find available options that benefit your oral health. She actively educates and inspires her patients to take an active role in preventive care.  She loves seeing the entire family and many of her valued patients have 3-4 generations coming to the office!

She enjoys living in Port Orchard with her husband, their son and daughter, and their three dogs (except in the winter when the dogs generate a lot of mud and hair balls!) while pursuing a variety of favorite outdoor activities – which include improving her newly found golf skills, running (or more like run/walking) in various races – plus various indoor activities such as reading, learning to play piano, oil finger painting and knitting.  She is addicted to the peanut sauce at Pho Kai here in Port Orchard and can often be seen frequenting El Sombrero. She volunteers regularly at her kids’ school and often is helping with various community activities.
