Important Information Regarding COVID-19
In recognition of ongoing news reports and the continued spread of the COVID-19 virus, we realize our patients have questions. As dedicated health care professionals, we want you to know that we remain as diligent as ever in protecting the health and safety of our patients and staff.
The Governor of Washington has closed down all dental offices, mandated until May 18th, 2020. This is for all procedures except those true emergency procedures that involve the following as instructed by the ADA and CDC: Uncontrolled bleeding, trauma such as tooth being knocked out of place, severe dental pain that doesn’t go away (not a twinge or sensitivity), abscess or noticeable swelling of the face. We aren’t allowed to work on esthetic situations. Even these listed emegencies may require a referral.
For most dental maladies, there are home remedies which can help. A chipped or broken filling can be smoothed with an emery board to help relief soft tissue discomfort. Drug and grocery stores, which fortunately are still open, sell temp fillings, adhesive and cement material. Crowns that come off may be re-cemented with toothpaste or even Elmer’s glue! If it can’t be put back on, expect some temperature sensitivity for a bit, use sensitive toothpaste put around it at night to help reduce that sensitivity. Fortunately most dental issues are slow going and not acute.
If you have an appointment between now and May 18th – we will be contacting you for cancelling and reschedule, but consider your appointment cancelled at this point. We will be continuing to follow the guidelines and requirements for being open and will not proceed until we can protect our patients and team adequately
We are truly saddened by this but understand and respect the reasons for making sure our medical front line has access to the personal protection equipment they need as well as understanding the need to keep people home and safe. We appreciate your sensitivity and your understanding as we work around this situation we never would have imagined to occur. Stay home and prayers for continued health to you all!

WSymptoms of coronavirus are reported as flu-like, with varying degrees of severity. While we do not know everything about this virus to date, individuals who are elderly and/or immunocompromised appear to be the most at risk of a severe infection. To ensure your health and safety, and the health and safety of everyone at our practice, please reschedule your appointment if you or a member of your household has a cough, fever, and/or flu-like symptoms. In addition, please reschedule your appointment if you have traveled to any areas within the past 14 days that are at high risk for contracting the coronavirus.
We thank you in advance and extend our gratitude for your understanding and cooperation. Together, we can help keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our office, and one of our staff members will be more than happy to assist you.
